I’m not sure if you know it, but I have a sweet, fabulous new friend, Jodi, who blogs over at sew fearless. I was so happy she stayed in Michigan an extra day to come craft with Rae and me last week, over at the Blue House.
She had sent me a gift in the mail that I received while up north…I gently placed the package on the seat of the truck to open separately from the massive stack of bills and junk mail. I went in the house to sort the mail, husband came home, children bombarded me, and I never had the opportunity that evening to sneak away and open my gift, giving it the attention it deserved.
The next morning, J left for Mobile, Alabama and took the truck (along with my still-packaged gift!) and parked it in the airport parking lot the entire time he was away. I FINALLY got my hands on this little sweetest thing yesterday, and though I’m frustrated with myself for letting it get away from me, I’m delighted that the anticipation of opening this gift was so delicious.
How awesome is this?
Not only is it the needle case from the tutorial on her blog that I keep meaning to make for myself, but she embroidered a MOTORCYCLE on it for me!!!
Tears of gratitude well up in my eyes whenever I look at it. Jodi and I together became enamored of BariJ’s new endeavor, We Love French Knots.
Rest assured my embroidery needles are firmly in place so I can take this case with me as I work my way through Bari’s video tutes on stitching!
Thank you sew much, Jodi!
