I cannot tell you how thrilled I was when asked to contribute to Carla Crim’s new book Sewn Hats. Not only is a making a coordinating hat the coolest way to turn any garment into an “outfit,” but they are so fun to make, and some can be whipped up in about an hour!
You will find a myriad of choices (and sizes) in Carla’s book. THIRTY FIVE HATS. Each is a complete, stand-alone with detailed, clearly- illustrated instructions (as we’ve come to expect from any of Carla’s brilliant works) and full-color photos so you really see the details.
Looking through the styles offered, I have been stumped as to which to make for myself. Of course I love my submission, the Extra Extra Newskid Cap. But my head is just a smidge too big for the children’s sizes.
