I run, I craft, I write, and I make your favorite clothes.

I have written books about sewing for children and adults and I'm the indie designer’s patternmaking secret weapon. I've taught video and in-person classes to anyone who would listen since 2008. I believe that sewing clothes is a radical act of self-love that increases your sense of self-worth. I'm basically your sewing fairy godmother.

As you may have gathered from my last post, I have been working too hard on almost everything.

Yesterday, I returned home from picking up breakfast for the family to see the dishwasher flooding the kitchen (and discovered soon after that the water dripped all the way through the ceiling in my sewing space).”

Most boy’s clothing I see is th same style, same design, same limited color but your shirt really stands out. Why should only the girls get cool clothes? Brilliant and original — the pockets, the placket — this is some good stuff!

Looks like you’ve thought of everything a little boy needs in a shirt, especially the large treasure pockets! What cute little piggies. I’ve never seen lined raglan shoulders before, what type of fabric do you use for comfort? I too love snap openings on my blouses!

    Thanks, ladies!

Linda, I just use a softer cotton woven, but I’m sure a jersey would be softer….just too warm for springtime.
