I run, I craft, I write, and I make your favorite clothes.

I have written books about sewing for children and adults and I'm the indie designer’s patternmaking secret weapon. I've taught video and in-person classes to anyone who would listen since 2008. I believe that sewing clothes is a radical act of self-love that increases your sense of self-worth. I'm basically your sewing fairy godmother.

KCWC Day 7

So, as you may have noticed, I did not post a photo every day last week.  I did sew, and for far longer than one hour per day.  I’m working on a top-secret project that I can talk about more later.  Suffice it to say, it involves sewing.  A lot of sewing!

In the meantime, I made my sweet new niece, Chelsea, some Big Butt Baby Pants from Made-By-Rae and I think if I have made the correct size, I’ll be making hundreds of these!  No, seriously, and for the following reasons:

A. They are freaking adorable

B. They are SO EASY to make

C. They hardly take any fabric at all

How cute?  I cannot wait to see them modeled on my niece, but I know they’ll be adorable because I get to see Rae’s sweet C in them pretty often.

Fabric is Dolce by Tanya Whelan, purchased at Venezie Designs’ etsy shop last spring.  I love the Art Nouveau look of this print.
