I run, I craft, I write, and I make your favorite clothes.

I have written books about sewing for children and adults and I'm the indie designer’s patternmaking secret weapon. I've taught video and in-person classes to anyone who would listen since 2008. I believe that sewing clothes is a radical act of self-love that increases your sense of self-worth. I'm basically your sewing fairy godmother.

What did I take on vacation other than my Bernina and some fabric?  Why, crafty mags of course!

I selected some Domestic and Overseas magazines:

…and read *all of them* in the car on the trip up.

My new favorite is Mollie Makes.  My all-time favorite isn’t shown here (probably was actually reading it at the time) and that is Threads.

What are your favorite magazines to take on trips?  What do you like to read at home? Do you read them for the pictures or the articles?  Which ones have your favorite tutorials or practical applications?

I’d love to know!

That is one fantastic stash. I was gifted a subscription to Sew Hip.  I really enjoyed it.  I would love to get Mollie Makes though.
