I run, I craft, I write, and I make your favorite clothes.

I have written books about sewing for children and adults and I'm the indie designer’s patternmaking secret weapon. I've taught video and in-person classes to anyone who would listen since 2008. I believe that sewing clothes is a radical act of self-love that increases your sense of self-worth. I'm basically your sewing fairy godmother.

After a week of staying up until 4 am, I’m looking forward to a bit of sleep.  My shift at Movement doesn’t start until Sunday night, but my garments are packed up along with Formella for display, tags, inventory list and the best intentions to represent themselves in the Handmade Detroit store.

It felt so good to deliver my items and inventory list today.  I was surprised by the sense of accomplishment I felt.  I wish I’d have remembered to take some photos.  Hopefully, they will take nice photos when the store is fully stocked.

Fingers Crossed that they sell!

My hat goes off to you, Ms. Karen. You sound like you worked extremely hard, and deserve the very best.
