Next weekend is the DIY street fair in Ferndale – a perennial favorite of mine! This year, I’m sharing a both with my dear friend Amy who is from My Marigold and Handmade Detroit.
I have to say, it’s pretty fabulous to get to do long shifts of booth-minding with someone you love! She’s had the booth layout drawn up since we found out we were accepted in the summer, and it’s pretty awesome! We’ll have my tree from Quilt Market full of clothing for boys and girls, and Amy’s gorgeous display docks full of embroidery creations, and other Great Lakes-inspired beauty, and naturally some copies of Sewing for Boys.
Would you like to see a sneak peek? Here’s a little pile of the kiddo-goodness available:
You can keep an eye on my Flickr Photostream if you want like to see more. (Hint: I have some fun new designs, and I’ve brought back a few favorites, AND I have garments for boys from my book…)
We’re in Booth 17:
Bring the kids during the day and have a local craft beer while listening to awesome bands and shopping at night!
I hope we’ll see you there!
