I run, I craft, I write, and I make your favorite clothes.

I have written books about sewing for children and adults and I'm the indie designer’s patternmaking secret weapon. I've taught video and in-person classes to anyone who would listen since 2008. I believe that sewing clothes is a radical act of self-love that increases your sense of self-worth. I'm basically your sewing fairy godmother.

Alright, I am ready to admit it.

I cannot get anything done unless I write it down first.  On paper.  With a pencil.

I know there are myriad electronic tools available, and I don’t have a problem checking things off my to-do list on my fabulous phone, but there’s something about pencil-to-paper that drives me to action.

What about you?  Do you need to “write it down”?

YES. My lists all have to be touchable and real or my mind can’t comprehend it fully. I go through a lot of target dollar section notepads. Something about using your hand and having your mind process the movements…..it makes it stick better.

Same goes with learning from books. I have a hard time if it’s not real paper.

I’ve been avoiding writing a list all day. I think it is because I am afraid of the list I would write. there is just now way to make it happen. :)

I have to write my To Do list down.  If I really want it done, I have to write it down or I’ll forget.  I also have to write a shopping list to use as a guideline or the cereal/bread/milk/cucumber/or whatever other item really needs to make it home(coffee) may not make it to the cart!
